Copying or Moving a Single List Item ?
List items, such as task items, links, or calendar events, cannot be copied like files in a document library. In this case, you need to use another technique. The following methods only move the latest version of the list item, including when you use the Manage Content and Structure feature.

Here are three examples of how to copy a calendar event:

1. Open the Contact list and select the Datasheet View. Right
- click the contact row, select Copy, and then open the destination list in the Datasheet View. Right - click the fi rst free row (marked with an asterisk [*]) and select Paste.

2. Open the Contact list and click Open with Access. Open the destination list (also using Access), and copy and paste the item between these Access windows. Save and close Access.

3. Use the Manage Content and Structure feature (SharePoint Server only) if the source and destination list is within the same site collection.
