What does SET ROWCOUNT syntax achieves?
Quote:SET ROWCOUNT causes SQL Server to stop processing the query after the specified number of rows are returned.

Example:
Code:
SET ROWCOUNT 10
SELECT *
FROM dbo.Orders
WHERE EmployeeID = 5
ORDER BY OrderDate
